Bottling

Well, this is almost a  week late, but I bottled a total of 46 bottles of this Irish Red last Saturday morning. Started Friday night by baking the bottles, then got up at 6 and started sanitizing the tubes, bottling bucket, everything. The FG was still at 1.019or 1.020, but I bottled anyway. I just hope that the fermenatation was really done…don’t want any exploding bottles! Will cool one tomorrow and try it. I don’texpect it to be all that good yet,but I need to see carbonation happening.

Well, opened a bottle Saturday after it spent the day in the fridge. It was ok for a beer that young, even had some carbonation. My son tasted it too and thought it was pretty good already, so maybe there’s hope for it after all. I didn’t have the heart to tell him that I think it’s about 3% abv.
